Welcome Friends to the Drum Lodge.
The Drum Lodge is a drum birthing ceremony. The whole process is a prayer. This particular way of drum making was received by Claire D Gaia and shared with me with the blessing to teach and share this way.
I have been making several styles of drums since 2013 and have been teaching drum making for 8 years. I am a non-native women, I have European Ancestry and my family is from Kentucky. I do love to drum and pray.
It is an honor to hold space for this life changing experience. I’ve seen over and over again that a drum elevates ones voice and purpose in life.
You can crawl “into” your drum in times of pain and need.
You can "stand up" on your drum to start a movement- and many people have.
Please be meditating on your intentions and prayers that you will infuse into creating your drum.

Donations: $700 includes all the drum materials, 6 organic vegetarian meals, lodging and step by step guidance on crafting your drum. Send $333 for a deposit or ideally pay in full via Venmo @Lena-Eastes. Due to the intimate journey and intensity of this process I can only allow 10 participants per lodge. Drum Lodge – Craft Your Own Sacred Drum!
I am honored to invite you to a Drum Lodge that in it’s nature is transformative, life-affirming and empowering. This immersion is designed to guide you through the profound process of crafting your own drum while connecting deeply with the Earth and your prayers held in community, wrapped in song, good food, fire time and stars in our eyes.
Friday Evening:
Arrival and Welcome: Settle in and prepare for a weekend of creation and connection.
Earth Offerings: We’ll start with a heartfelt ceremony to honor the Earth and give thanks for the animals whose robes we are receiving to create our drums and the bodies of the trees for our hoops.
Journey Meditation and Visioning: Embark on a guided drum meditation to connect with the spirit of your drum and receive inspiration.
Painting the Inner Rim: As you feel called, paint symbols on the inner rim of your drum, reflecting your personal journey and intentions.
Saturday:
Intensive Drum Making Workshop: Immerse yourself in the hands-on process of crafting your drum. With my loving guidance, you’ll poke holes, and weave your skin onto the hoop.
Sunday:
Creating the Drum Beater: Complete your drum-making experience by crafting a beater to accompany your new drum.
Final Touches: Apply the finishing touches to your drum, ensuring it resonates with your unique energy and intentions.
Throughout our days we will share meals and the Sacred Fire will be tended throughout the weekend to pray, heal and connect.
Community Meals and Connection: Enjoy delicious meals as you bond with new and old friends.
Fires, Song, and Drumming Circles: Celebrate around the fire, in song and drumming circles. Share your voice and learn new songs.
This weekend is more than just a workshop; it’s a journey into the heart of the drum and a connection with the heart of the Earth and Community.
You’ll leave with a deep sense of accomplishment and a sacred drum that holds your prayers and intentions woven into each fiber and cell.
